Moments of Gratitude…
As Dr. Barnett outlined in his April 14, 2020 blog, titled “Being Joyful in Turbulent Times”, gratitude is one of the Eight Pillars of Joy. We encourage you to take a moment or 2 every day to reflect on the things that you are grateful for. They don’t have to be big things – a moment, a gesture, a happy memory, a good meal. Consider taking the “gratitude challenge.” Every day, think about 3 things that you are grateful for. Keep a log of these, in a place that you can access easily, like your phone, or a journal. After a few weeks you will have collected dozens of reminders of things you have been grateful for – and after a year, it will be over a thousand! Please share some of these “moments of gratitude” with us. Take a picture, write a sentence or 2, and send it with your first name and last initial to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will post it to the website.
